However despite all this, Chandrika's father is against her marriage with Bhaskaran for a reason which is revealed in the end.

Yodha (theatrical release name: Yoddha; Malayalam: à´¯àµà´¦àµà´§; pronounced yÅddha) is a 1992 malayalam action comedy film scripted by Sasidharan Arattuvazhi and directed by Sangeeth Sivan. The film stars Mohanlal who plays the protagonist, who is told he is the saviour destined to rescue the Rimpoche of a Nepalese Buddhist monastery from practitioners of black magic. The score and soundtrack were composed by A. R. Rahman. The film is an adaptation of the movie The Golden Child and has borrowed subplots from Bloodsport and The Blind Fury. It was mostly shot at Palakkad in Kerala and Nepal. A sequel titled Yodha 2 has been planned, which hypes A.R. Rahman's second venture in the Malayalam film industry.

Supporting roles are essayed by Parvathy Omanakuttan, Bruna Abdullah, Vidyut Jamwal and Sudhanshu Pandey, all of whom make their debut in Tamil cinema. The film's soundtrack and background score were composed by Yuvan Shankar Raja, while R. D. Rajasekhar handled the cinematography and Suresh Urs worked as the editor. Billa II was filmed with an RED EPIC Camera, becoming the first Indian production to be shot with it.
