Description Havoc (German: Das Unheil) is a 1972 West German thriller film directed by Peter Fleischmann. It was entered into the 1972 Cannes Film Festival. Based on Martin Walser's compelling novel, this multilayered drama examines life in West Germany in the early 1970s, when the pressures of modern society have complicated effects on the citizens of a small town preparing for a festival.
