By the time, Chaturvedi thinks he is fully purified â the child reappears â seeking refuge, due to Hindu- Muslim riots. This is the time Chaturvedi finally realizes that the true religion is - religion where humans help humans â humanity.

He still misses his mother but his life changes when he finds a crucifix in the attic. A wonderful friendship between Jesus and him is born.
