Description
The story is set in the 1990s in a village and discusses the entry of globalization in there in a satirical manner. Vinayan is a young man, who works as an operator in Sreedevi Talkies, an old 'C' class cinema theatre. The owner of the theatre is Madhavan Nair, who is also the godfather of Vinayan. The effects of globalisation start reflecting in the functioning of the theatre.

The movie has Prithviraj as Franco, who runs an automobile workshop at Fort Kochi. He is a freaky youth who takes all strides to enjoy the life to its fullest. Kadhaveedu' is a dedication to Malayalam being accorded the Shresthabhaasha (Malayalam has been declared a Classical language in 2013) status and presents, as a single entity, three different stories penned by the doyens of Malayalam literature - Vaikkom Muhammed Basheer, M T Vasudevan Nair and Madhavikutty.
