Promise Me This is a film written and directed by the award-winning Serbian filmmaker Emir Kusturica. An old man named Živojin MarkoviÄ, living in a remote village prays for his grandson Tsane to go to the city, sell his cow and bring back a wife. Jealousies within the Mob undercut the plan's smooth operation, and soon the Mob has Toivo to deal with as well.
