Millionaire sportsman Hiram Brighton hires gumshoe Michael Shayne to keep his spoiled daughter Phyllis away from racetrack betting windows and roulette wheels. The Great Silence (Il grande silenzio, 1968), or The Big Silence, is an Italian spaghetti western.
