This movie centers around a group of people that are both very Italian-Catholic and the same time oversexed and jaded European bourgeosis from the late "dolce vita" era. The main protagonist is a former priest who has become bored to the point of impotence by the easy availability of beautiful women (probably not a problem most viewers can really relate to). He misses the shame of the priesthood which made sex somehow more enjoyable, and this somehow leads to his strange fascination with photographing asses (the body part, not the animal). He gets involved with a sexy married woman (Martine Brochard), but he is more interested in her virginal maid (Gloria Guida)--or, to be more specific, in the maid's ass. The woman's husband meanwhile, a hilariously pretentious actor, discovers the affair. Strangely, he is not angry at his wife's infidelity but depressed that she was so indiscreet, and he too takes solace in his maid's ass.
I Even Met Happy Gypsies is a 1967 Yugoslav, original Serbian title is SkupljaÄi perja, which means The Feather Gatherers. The protagonist, Bora, is a charming but mean-spirited gypsy, while his older wife, Lence, is submissive. Bora is in love with the younger Tisa, who is being offered in marriage by her father. The two get themselves in trouble and eventually have to flee. Tisa rejects her husband and she and Bora get married in the church, and their adventures continue. At the 1967 Cannes Film Festival it was nominated for the Palme d'Or and won the Special Grand Prize of the Jury and the FIPRESCI Prize. The film was nominated for the 1968 Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and for the Golden Globe Award for Best Foreign Language Film. Bekim Fehmiu also won a Golden Arena award for Best Actor at the 1966 Pula Film Festival for his portrayal of Bora.
The movie starts with a small introduction that all the female fans of actor Mahesh Babu were "angry" on him when he got married. Even the heroine is one of them, though she is a die hard fan. Although her aunt (Jhansi) keeps telling her that it's not possible to get her married to Mahesh she pays no heed and stays depressed for days. Finally, she compromises with her aunt by demanding that her husband's name must be Mahesh. Her aunt relents and starts the search for the groom, though in vain.
Her neighbor, Anand, helps the heroine by searching a seemingly perfect "Mahesh". He becomes friends with him and sees that Mahesh is a classy, handsome guy. Soon, the neighbor introduces the two and the couple seem destined to be together foreverâuntil the twists come with a new heroine, her relationship with "Mahesh" and his past. If their love lasts forever forms the rest of the story.

The third and final episode, which has a modern-day setting, is the shortest â but also, possibly, the most outrageous: Pascale Christophe is a young married woman whoâs abducted on a busy Parisian street by a small-time hood hidden inside a cardboard box!
